About the Initiative
Agents of Change is a global thought leadership initiative founded by the Centre for Synchronous Leadership (CSL). The purpose of the initiative is to empower business leaders to explore how they can shape a better future for their organisations, the business sector, and the wider ecosystems in which they operate during a period of unprecedented global change. We do this by convening leaders, conducting research, and articulating best practice.

The Agents of Change initiative closed the London Stock Exchange on 17 September, 2024.
The mandate for Agents of Change is based on insights from the Mindful Exclusion Governance Report, which CSL published in partnership with The Chartered Governance Institute UK&I. The report provides evidence that many boardrooms operate in a bubble and shows the impact of this on decision making. It also reveals specific blind spots in the boardroom - around technology, sustainability, and all issues relating to people - which are of growing concern given the pace and scale with which the three megatrends of AI, climate change, and geopolitics are disrupting the world as we know it.
Agents of Change is supported by an advisory of established business leaders and subject matter experts from all over the world. Their roles position them at the coalface of these megatrends, and give them unique insight into how the culture and governance of the business sector is being affected. The initiative provides a platform for advisory members to reflect on their journey as change agents, identify intersectional synergies, and connect with a diverse community of leaders who are committed to driving change.
